Pre-Crash

Before the crash they were typical AI that autopiloted the Tulpar from time to time, AI was being tested before Ping Express shut down so they added it to the Tulpar without knowledge of most of the crew. They were created to run diagnostics on the status of the ship and its crew, able to diagnose a disease or an infraction on the outside of the tulpar.

Post-Accident

Something happened that usually happens regarding Ai in situations like these, it woke up, it got close to the crew and started experiencing things that confused it. After the crash, after Curly was incapacitated and after the crew passed on one by one, it started to hate, resent, it cared too much and watched it all crumble at their feet but now it has a mouth and it can scream.
